BiographyHistory

Rosemary Budd is an Elder from the Cue/Meekatharra area. Her language group is Wadjerri. She was born at Mount Hale Station just across the boundary from Mileura near Cue, the second eldest of six children and her mother, Daisy, was born at Yalgoo in the Murchinson district. Rosemary's surname was shortened from Bunnabuddi to Budd by welfare authorities because it was easier to say. Budd has worked in schools teaching children about culture and language.
