BiographyHistory

Jessie Urquhart was the daughter of William Urquhart, who in the 1920s was New South Wales Comptroller-General of Prisons. She was a member of the Society of Women Writers which was established in Sydney in 1925. She was secretary of the Society in 1932-33 and worked for a time as a journalist in London.
