BiographyHistory

Fadeel Kayat is an Iraqi-born poet and journalist who has lived in Australia since 1998. He is the author of two collections of poems, the first published in Iraq (1993), and the second in Syria (1999). In 2006 he performed at the Sydney Writers Festival, at an event titled 'Writing on Gravestones' which featured four refugee Iraqi poets.
