BiographyHistory

Nyst's father was the Dutch Consul in Marseilles. Nyst worked in the French Resistance during World War II and also served in New Guinea, Borneo and Timor. He undertook his officer training in Australia, returning to settle in Queensland after the war. He is the father of Chris Nyst (q.v.).
