BiographyHistory

W. C. (Bill) Charnley lived and worked in the Western Australian goldfields from 1899 until moving to Perth in 1916. He appears to have had his first work published in 1915. Miners' Phthisis kept him out of World War I. He frequently wrote for the Westralian Worker newspaper in the years it was edited by John Curtin (q.v.), and he was a full-time writer after 1930.
