BiographyHistory

Jo Chandler is a Walkley Award-winning journalist. Formerly a senior writer with The Age (which she joined in 1989 after a cadetship on country newspapers), in 2018 she was working freelance while lecturing in the Centre for Advancing Journalism (University of Melbourne) and serving as Honorary Fellow at Deakin University.

In 2021, she was shortlisted for the Bragg Prize for Science Writing for 'The COVID-Climate Collision'. In 2023, shewas shortlisted again, for 'Buried Treasure'.
