'Rod Pratt is a historian and librarian with a particular interest in the British military garrisons stationed in pre-separation Queensland. His initial work on Queensland’s Aboriginal population in World War I gained attention for being the first to examine Indigenous participation in war. He has undertaken research for a variety of federal, state and local government bodies, and has authored numerous publications, especially in military history.' (Queensland Review 26.1)
