BiographyHistory

Joyce Woodberry was a founding member of the Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG). She represented MetEast for years, most times on the AECG Executive and regularly attended the AECG State meetings. She was an achiever in Aboriginal education. La Perouse school was her special interest and she always promoted the school and her Koori kids' achievements. Together with the late Paul Trevini, former principal of the La Perouse Public School, Woodberry was instrumental in establishing the unique La Perouse dance troupe. Source: Pemulwuy Newsletter.
