BiographyHistory

The Writing and Society Research Centre is based on the Parramatta South campus of Western Sydney University. The Centre supports academics and postgraduate students in the study or writing, literature and society both nationally and internationally.

It regularly hosts the China Australia Literature Forums, and was awarded Australian Research Council Discovery Grant funding for the project 'Other Worlds: Forms of World Literature'. The Project members include: J.M. Coetzee, Ben Denham, Ben Etherington, Melinda Jewell, Gail Jones, Nicholas Jose, Samantha Trayhurn, Anthony Uhlmnn and Alexis Wright.
