BiographyHistory

Dot West has had an interest in media from a young age and has worked in the print industry, producing the glossy magazine Aboriginal and Islander Identity and a monthly newspaper Aboriginal and Islander Forum.

By the late 1980s, she had begun working in the radio industry, before expanding her interests into film and television. West was the Chairperson of the National Indigenous Media Association of Australia and the head of Productions and Business Develpment with Goolarri Media in Broome.
