BiographyHistory

Beck Cole, scriptwriter and filmaker is from the Yawuru/Djarbera-Djabera. She was selected as part of a group in 2007 to participate in a project by the Australian Film Commission (AFC) that was designed to nurture and assist the talents of upcoming Indigenous filmmakers. The project was designed to give the chosen individuals the opportunity to develop their first feature film with the assistance of respected directors and producers such as Phillip Noyce, Zachary Skiar and Ray Lawrence.

'Little J is five and has just started kindergarten year at school. He lives with his grandmother (Nanna), his girl cousin (Big Cuz) who is nine, and their dog (Old Dog) who is also the story narrator. LITTLE J & BIG CUZ follows the family's adventures and is told primarily from the point of view of Little J.'
