Gemma Mahadeo came to Australia from London, England, in 1987. She has written for online magazines and been published in print journals.
In April 2018, as part of Writers Victoria's 'Women Writers of Colour' initiative, she exhibited three poems based on independent video games at Bar SK in collingwood.
