BiographyHistory

'Judex' (Frederick Arthur Casey) arrived in Kalgoorlie in 1895 and later became the Town Surveyor. He first wrote under the name of 'Murrumbidgee' and later as 'Judex', contributing short stories to newspapers. He married Jean Stodart Allan in 1904 and they had two sons: Gavin, later to become a well-known writer (q.v.), and Allan.
