BiographyHistory

Eric Fullilove attended Latymer Upper School and then took up a position as assistant editor at the Crown Film Unit of Denham Studios. He served in the British Army during World War II before returning to the Crown Film Unit.

Fullilove visited Australia in 1952 to help film a program on the detonation of the first British atomic bomb. He returned as a 'Ten Pound Pom' in 1964. 'Over the next quarter-century he was a leader in the development of the Australian film and television industry, directing programs such as Barrier Reef, Boney and Song for Melbourne. He is best known for his production of the children's series Skippy.
