BiographyHistory

Barney Foran was raised in Cunnamulla, educated in Brisbane and moved to Alice Springs in 1968. His interest in folk music gave him impeteus to join a Australian touring bush band, where he began performing Australian bush ballads, writing shows and eventually returning to solo performances. He researched and performed his one-man show 'Those Perfidious Poms' in Perth and Araluen.

Barney Foran is now a senior analyst with the CSIRO Resource Futures Group. (2004)
