BiographyHistory

Maurice Parmalee was born in Istanbul and moved to New York state at the age of twelve. He trained as an academic in the U.S. and was employed in the fields of economics and sociology before leaving to travel and write numerous books. His work covered diverse topics such as economic warfare, poverty, gymnosophy, sexuality, Bolshevism, fascism and world government. One of his works, Nudism in Modern Life: The Young Gymnosophy was banned in Australia in 1934.
