BiographyHistory

Arthur Sidney Lyon worked for Victorian newspapers prior to a move to Queensland. Once settled in the Moreton Bay district, Lyon agitated for the establishment of a newspaper and was involved with the Moreton Bay Courier from its inception in 1846. Lyon also worked on the Moreton Bay Free Press, was editor of the North Australian and set up the Darling Downs Gazette.
