BiographyHistory

Frances Perry came to Australia in 1848 with her husband who had been appointed as the first Anglican Bishop of Melbourne. As 'Richard Perry' she edited Proceedings of the First Church of England Synod for the Diocese of Melbourne, held on the 16th of October 1856, and the following days. She returned to England at the end of her husband's term of office in 1874. Frances Perry House at Melbourne's Royal Women's Hospital is named after her.
