BiographyHistory

'Fiona Winning has been a writer and producer working across live performance, visual cultures and interactive practices. She was Director of Performance Space - a national centre for contemporary arts 1999-2008 and in that time produced and co-curated mixed artform programs; six Time_Place_Space laboratories (with Teresa Crea, Julianne Pierce and Sarah Miller); collaborated with peers to set up Mobile States - Touring Contemporary Performance Australia; and programmed intercultural exchanges with national and international artists and companies.

She has more recently worked independently on a range of projects including as co-convenor (with Michael Cohen and Deborah Ely) of Siteworks at Budanon, as curator of the Australian Theatre Forum 2011, and as dramaturg on Victoria Hunt's "Hinemihi Haka". She is also a member of the Australia Council's Theatre Board and Going Global Committee.'
