BiographyHistory

Adrienne Sallay was educated at North Sydney Girls High School. At university she gained undergraduate degrees in Science teaching and Librarianship. Later she gained post-graduate degrees in Computer Education and English Literature. She has worked as a Science, Maths and Computing teacher in NSW primary, secondary and tertiary institutions, and as a Librarian in primary, secondary, community and tertiary institutions. Her Creative Writing PhD project was two-fold: her dissertation explored Australian women's writing of the 1970s and her novel explores the lives of women in a fictional 1970 scenario. She has also facilitated community reading and writing workshops and started up a boutique publishing company for emerging writers called Ace Press.
