Kris Wyld graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney, New South Wales, in 1984 majoring in film scriptwriting and film production. She collaborated with Steve Knapman in the creation and script development of a number of television series including Wildside, White Collar Blue and the mini series East West 101. Wyld also worked on the television series Heartbreak High, G.P., and Paper Man.
In 1995, Wyld received an AFC Keating Fellowship in Film Scriptwriting and Development and studied with production companies in Los Angeles and London.
Wyld's awards include an AFI Award for Best Episode in a TV Drama Series, 1999, for Wildside, episode 59.
