BiographyHistory

Franci Cantatore completed a PhD in Copyright Law and Authorship at Bond University. She has been a practising solicitor and Senior Teaching Fellow at the university and is admitted to practice law on the Rolls of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Prior to practising as a solicitor with a Brisbane law firm and joining the Bond Faculty of Law, she was the in-house legal adviser for an Australian finance company, taught in Media Law at Griffith University and previously practised as a solicitor and barrister in South Africa. Her specialty areas of practice and research are copyright law, commercial and contracts law, litigation and property and finance law. She completed her MA degree at Griffith University on the subject of Artists, Writers and the Migration Experience, and has also published a number of articles in national publications.
