BiographyHistory

Yasmin Abdullah is the daughter of the late George Cyril Abdullah (q.v.), community leader and Aboriginal rights activist in Western Australia. George Abdullah advocated equal rights for Aboriginal people for forty years in Western who assisted in the establishment of what became the Aboriginal Advancement Council of Western Australia, the Aboriginal Rights Council, The National Tribal Council and the Aboriginal Publications Foundation amongst a number of other outstanding initiatives.
