BiographyHistory

Darren Garvey has ancestral ties to the Torres Strait Islands and has lectured for the Aboriginal Health Unit at the Centre for Aboriginal Studies, Curtin University of Technology.

Garvey holds a degree in Psychology from James Cook University, postgraduate qualifications in Health Promotion from Curtin Universityand also has a Graduate Certificate in Education with a focus on instructional design and curriculum development. He is the author of Indigenous Identity in Contemporary Psychology - Dilemmas, Developments, Directions (2007).
