BiographyHistory

Editor, publisher and university lecturer, specialising in fiction, biography and autobiography. Cosgrove commissioned Barbara Blackman's 1997 memoir Glass After Glass, and was later asked by Blackman to edit and annotate the correspondence between Blackman and Judith Wright (Source: Melbourne UP).

Cosgrove has also written a number of non-fiction works on the practice of editing and particularly on correspondence, including an analysis of Rachel Henning as a publishing phenomenon, of Gwen Harwood's correspondence, of the ethical issues of publishing letters from Aboriginal women correspondents of the late Victorian period and early twentieth century, and of the need for editorial 'silence' in editing epistolary materials.

Sources include Melbourne University Publishing.
