BiographyHistory

George Bray was the first chairman of the Central Australian Legal Aid Service. He was also the chairman of the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress and an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) Regional Councillor for Alice Springs. In 1993, Bray was named National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Aboriginal of the Year for Central Australia.
