BiographyHistory

'Dr Robert Hall graduated from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1968 and was commissioned as a Lietenant in the 8th Battalion, the Royal Australian regiment. He served in South Vietnam from 1969 t0 1970 as an infantry platoon commander. He also served in the Pacific Islands regiment in Port Moresby and Wewak between 1971 1nd 1974. He was awrded a PhD following studies in military history at University College, University of New South Wales, Australian Defence Force in 1988.' (Source: Fighters from the Fringe, 1995)
