BiographyHistory

A Sydney-based journalist, John Zubrzycki was awarded a 2005 Asialink Writer's Residency to study in India. He divided his time between Hyderabad and New Delhi to research the unique life of Murkharram Jah, the last Nizam of Hyderabad, and heir to India's largest princely state, who ran a sheep station in outback Western Australia for more than two decades. Zubrzycki's research resulted in the book, The Last Nizam: An Indian Prince in the Australian Outback (2006).
