Melbourne-based film/television director, producer, company director/owner.
Don Percy began shooting films at age 10. While a student at Swinburne Film and Television School in the early to mid-1980s he met Jeremy Kewley and the pair collaborated on the award-winning comedy short film The Skateboard Saga. Percy graduated from Swinburne in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts, and a Kodak Award for the Best Achievement in Cinematography. That same year he and Kewley formed Pearly White Productions Pty Ltd, with Percy undertaking the roles of Director and Co-producer. Since then he has overseen the production of more than 200 television commercials, and numerous music video, corporate films, training videos and documentaries. Pearly White was also employed by Network 10 in 1990 to write, produce and direct all the Melbourne segments of Candid Camera on Australia.
Percy formed Adonis Films P/L in 2000 and continues to direct commercials, corporate films and music videos. In 2012 he wote, produced and directed the short feature Inanimate Objects. The following year his seven-minute short Makeover was awarded second place at Tropfest 22 (Sydney). It also won Best Screenplay and was placed second overall at the 2014 Peninsula Short Film Festival.
