BiographyHistory

'Margot Luke was sent from her native Germany to England in 1939 as an eleven year old refugee. She arrived in Australia when she was twenty-two, settling in Perth seventeen years later. Luke graduated from the University of Melbourne and had a long career in the publishing industry. She also worked for the Australian Broadcasting Commision and taught German at the University of Western Australia.
