BiographyHistory

Elizabeth Woolcock remains the only woman sentenced to death and executed in South Australia. In 1873 Elizabeth was charged with the murder of her husband, Thomas Woolcock, via suspected poisoning.

Some evidence has since suggested that Elizabeth was innocent of the crime.
