BiographyHistory

F. H. Clausen was a prominent member of the Adelaide German community and the city's Harmonie Society, along with other members of his family, around the late-1880s and 1890s. In collaboration with Paul Bartels he adapted and translated one of the works of French dramatist Mélesville (Anne-Honoré-Joseph Duveyrier, 1787-1865) for South Australian composer Moritz Heuzenroeder. Titled, The WindmillThe Windmill, the operetta was staged by the Harmonie Society in June 1891.
