Billy Bunter lived and worked on Wave Hill Station, Northern Territory, Australia during the early to mid 19th Century. Bunter was 16 years old at the time of the Wave Hill walk-off on August 23 1966, this was the beginning of Australia's land rights movement. (the Sydney Morning Herald, 17 July, 2006)
