Nigel Parbury graduated in Latin and Fine Arts at Sydney University, he had also worked as a teacher, taxi driver and radio operator. He had worked in Aboriginal education for over 20 years. During the 1990s Parbury worked in the Aboriginal Education Unit, known then as the NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG). (Source: Australian Museum website)
