Barry Humphries, aka Dame Edna and Sir Les Patterson, has always been a hard man to pin down, as artist Louise Hearman discovered in the run-up to winning the Archibald Prize yesterday.“He’s a man with a truly fugitive face,” Hearman (pictured) said at the Art Gallery of NSW.
