'Kay Napaljarri Ross was born near Napperby Station in the early-mid 1940s, and for the first few years of her life lived there with her extended family who were involved in stock work. In 1946, responding to government pressure, Napaljarri’s family, along with other Warlpiri families in the area, left Napperby Station to resettle in the newly created government settlement of Yuendumu. ...'
