Bindi has been wanting to work out a way to raise money for the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital and now she's done it! Welcome to the Wildlife Games, a one day television extravaganza! Four young contestants, each with a big interest in wildlife and conservation, will battle against one another in a game of wits, strength and knowledge.
Bindi is travelling deep into the jungles of Borneo to film the plight of orphaned and rescued orangutans. When she gets there, one orangutan captures Bindi's heart: Merah. He's a real scene-stealer! But when a tropical storm hits, Merah escapes from his river island. With poachers lurking nearby, it's up to Bindi and her new friend Siti to track Merah down before the poachers do.
Bindi has a guest appearance on a smash hit US TV show called Riding High, a program based around an exclusive Los Angeles horse riding school. Savannah, Taylor and Andrew are the three teens who feature in each week's episode, and it becomes apparent to Bindi that there is a lot going on, both on set and off, among the three stars. The Irwin clan are taking time out to holiday with friends on Lady Elliot Island just off the Queensland coast. As a regular guest of the island, Bindi can't wait to show her friends around! And with the turtle nesting season in full swing, there is plenty to do and see. But when Bindi joins her friends on their first scuba dive, she spots a young turtle in trouble. Will they be able to save it in time?
Bindi also learns a lot about sustainability on an island which focuses on reducing its carbon footprint through efficient energy use and waste management.
While on a train ride through the heart of the continent, Bindi stops at a kangaroo rescue centre and discovers the harsh methods used to kill the animals for meat, and, with the help of her friends, vows to keep the animals off the menu.
After travelling to the Top End for a croc research trip, the Irwins decide to squeeze in a quick holiday and visit some old friends in a tiny town on the western shores of the Gulf of Carpentaria. But after an encounter with a snubfin dolphin trapped in a ghost net, Bindi begins to realise that all is not well.
