Muffy Potter began her career as an actor and was an ensemble performer/writer and-co company director of the Sydney based independent theatre company, Urban Tales (1999-2006). After completing an MA in Producing at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in 2008 she and business partner Trudi-Ann Tierney launched Put It Out There Pictures (PIOTP).
Potter worked in Kabul, Afghanistan as a Senior Producer over several years making countless hours of television drama and entertainment programs funded by government and aid organisations for local broadcasters. Some of her credits include Eagle Four (2010, Special Jury Prize winner at the 2011 Seoul Drama Awards), and the critically acclaimed mockumentary comedy The Ministry (2013).
Among other productions produced by Potter and the PIOTP team are The Journey (2016), for which the company received over four million dollars in Australian government funding (the non-English telemovie has been broadcast in four countries), a radio drama aired in December 2015 in Myanmar and a telemovie going into production in June 2016 for broadcast in Papua New Guinea.
