AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A bi-monthly authoritative, independent publication for screen content professionals in Australia and New Zealand, Inside Film was established in 1997 by Stephen Jenner and David Bardaby and initially published out of an office in the Sydney suburb of Darlinghurst (behind Baz Luhrmann’s mansion). Its editors have included Bec Smith, Rachel Turk and Michel Michôd. Among the other key people associated with the magazine were Jen Peedom and Polly Staniford. In 2006 the magazine, now known as IF Magazine, was purchased by Mark Kuban's the Intermedia Group.

IF Magazine’s content is driven by original research and unique articles, not just press releases or aggregated content. Every issue covers Australian film and television, distribution, exhibition, digital media, marketing, finance, and also includes the most comprehensive report on domestic screen production. IF prides itself on providing in-depth analysis with a fresh but considered appraisal of industry developments (IF Magazine website). Its reach is extended via a website and a regular e-newsletter. The digital edition is available through Google Play.
