BiographyHistory

The Anarcho-Syndicalist Federation (ASF) was founded to oversee the operations of various state-based groups within Australia affliated with the International Workers Association (IWA). The Sydney group took over the publication of Rebel Worker in 1983 from the Industrial Workers of the World Australian General Organising Committee, and has continued to oversee its publication ever since. The Melbourne group had a significant influence on the Melbourne Tram Dispute of 1990.

The Anarcho-Syndicalist Federation was eventually renamed the Anarcho-Syndicalist Network. It also publishes the bi-monthly transport workers' agitational magazine, Sparks.
