Notes

  • According to Igor Maver, in his book chapter 'Australia and New Zealand through the Eyes of an Early Slovenian Travel Writer', Karlin also wrote articles for newspapers in English during her voyage around the world, 'including some Australian and New Zealand newspapers' (88). Apart from an interview in the Adelaide paper The Register (cited by Maver), other possible Australian publications by Karlin have not yet been traced by AustLit.
