Described as a 'raw, raunchy and riotous queer performance, the brainchild of Chris Maver' (Erin White), The Fruit Tingle Cabaret, displayed the varied and highly skilled talents of several members of Brisbane’s queer community. Performed at the Judith Wright Centre in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley, the show comprised a selction of performances linked by the theme of the gay identity

Notes

    • Chris Maver's performance contributions to the show comprised songs (accompanied by Gary Nunn) and a parody of his own struggles - told within the story of a princess (who is really a queen).
    • Simon Chan performed his original songs 'Gaysian' and 'Everybody’s Got the Right to Be Racist.'
    • Michaela Shea, as Sister Mary, sang a song about the joys of celibacy.
    • Singer Jo Doyle performed a selection of musical numbers accompanied by Ruth Gardiner (guitar).
    • Divo Sock and Sophia Woods of Switch Physical Theatre performed a combination physical theatre and circus piece titled 'Bent.'
    • The final piece, another dance/circus piece, was presented by Fez Fa’anana and Mark Windmill. In this Fa’anana rapped to some of the set dances.
