BiographyHistory

Actor, female impersonator, director, producer, poet, writer, community/gay/human rights activist.

Associated largely with Brisbane theatre and communities, particlaularly the West End district of Brisbane, Chris Maver's involvement in theatre began in the 1970s and continued right up until his death from cancer in 2015. Although best known for his drag/female impersonator roles, Maver was regarded by his peers as a fine singer, poet, and theatre director. He also produced shows with his own company Chris Maver Productions.
