BiographyHistory

Rose Scott Cowen was born at Tambo station property situated on the Barcoo River, 200 kilometres north of Charleville, Queensland. She lived in the outback most of her life. In 1961, at the age of 82, her book Crossing Dry Creeks : 1879 to 1919 was published.
