AbstractHistoryArchive Description

In this column, el Gato comments on the difficulties of understanding the humour of another culture or country. It is easier, he claims, to write drama than humour. He writes: 'Llora y el mundo llorará contigo. Ríe y te llegarán cartas al editor.' [Cry and the whole world cries with you. Laugh and they'll send you letters to the editor'.]
