BiographyHistory

Baressa Frazer is 'a member of the Puuch Clan from Aurukun in Western Cape York.'

She has 'been an educator for the past 12 years working in various roles such as principal, teacher and community engagement. Frazer is passionate about and promote home language learning and awareness. And, has have worked on projects and co-written papers on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages and delivered professional development to educators to foster their knowledge and skills about language and language learners.'

Frazer is 'working on other books and possible teaching resources. She enjoyed working with illustrator Julie Haysom who my book Brolga and the Emu to life and gave the characters attitude.' (Source: Baressa Frazer, 2016)
