BiographyHistory

Jamie Zimmermann was raised in Sydney's Hills district. When he was eighteen he joined the army, after becoming a commando, he was part of reconnaissance operations in the jungles of East Timor. He was also sent to Iraq and Afghanistan with the Australian special forces, where be was injured in 2007.

During his rehabilitation back in Australia, he re-learnt to walk and founded the Australian Hero Games, designed workouts in the name of fallen Australian soldiers, and raised awareness and money for charities. Zimmermann now leads his own property advisory team, studies at university, and is a role model for youth.
