      Extent: Sketchbook containing sketches of Aboriginal people in hunting, fighting and ceremonial scenes. The book has a purple paper cover, which is printed in black with a design which includes scroll work, an image of a sculpted bust and the British coat of arms, and text "SKETCH BOOK". Above the printing is handwritten text "Sketches by "[N]arra-[eiua]", King of the /​ [N]an-whanna tribe New South Wales, Australia". The book contains 15 sketches on the right-hand pages, some of which are interleaved with tissue overlays. A brief description is handwritten below each sketch. One scene features seven European men dressed in long coats, waistcoats and top hats, each holding a cane.p.
