'...Back in 1952 I was put into a home. Mainly because the rest of my brothers and sisters were there. My poor old mum, she just followed suit. She didn’t have a steady husband at the time and just battled, the poor old thing was just battling and I don’t blame her at all for it. It would have been a forcible thing, the intimidations were there. My old mum just got sick of running around hiding her half-cast kids at a place called Maryvale. It’s about 100 k’s south of here.' 'The ‘Stolen Generations’ Testimonies’ project is an initiative to record on film the personal testimonies of Australia’s Stolen Generations Survivors and share them online.'

'The Stolen Generations' Testimonies Foundation hopes the online museum will become a national treasure and a unique and sacred keeping place for Stolen Generations’ Survivors’ Testimonies. By allowing Australians to listen to the Survivors’ stories with open hearts and without judgement, the foundation hopes more people will be engaged in the healing process.
