'The Truth Is Longer Than A Lie is a research based play adapted from the non-fiction book of the same name by Neerosh Mudaly and Chris Goddard and published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers in London. A difficult, but crucial subject, this investigative book, formerly a PHD, dissects the world of child abuse within the family and examines professional intervention methods currently practised. The play utilizes two family stories from different socio-economic worlds. Beginning with the abuse still only being known within the household, the play then moves into a world of counselling, dire family consequences and the ways in which the damaged children can continue to live. The play debuts in Melbourne in November 2015. The play-script will be published by Melbourne's Black Pepper Press in October 2015.'
